What is Pod the North?
Pod the North is the resource for Canadian podcasts - the brain child from Kattie Laur.
It provides strategic guidance, hands-on creative and editorial work, and community-driven initiatives.
Pod the North releases a newsletter aimed at connecting the Canadian podcast community.
A commitment: In creating podcasts we are building audiences that return week after week to hear our voices. Pod the North is anti-racist and speaks against violence, injustice and inequality. We must always encourage our audiences to be educated, engaged, and to take action. Pod the North has signed the Equality in Audio Pact.

Kattie Laur
Principal & Executive Producer
Kattie Laur has been working and creating in the Canadian podcasting ecosystem for over a decade.
Over the course of her career she’s created award-winning podcasts as a freelance producer, worked as a podcast growth specialist with top names in the industry, and of course, found herself deep in the trenches as an independent podcaster.
Her varied experience has led her down a path of advocacy for the Canadian podcasting ecosystem, and she has a keen interest in making the industry sustainable, equitable, well connected, and world-renowned.
Let’s work together.
Pod the North supports Canadian podcast creators, professionals, studios, networks, and advertisers, providing executive-level production, editing, and growth strategy.
We work with a maximum of three partners at a time on a monthly retainer basis, specializing in 4–6 month deep-dives that transform podcast foundations into sustainable growth engines. Partnerships typically begin at a $3,000 CAD monthly minimum, though we will work with a range of budgets to ensure that emerging voices can get professional support.
